A White-Coat Angel’s Rebirth Story
Ying-Hsiu had always been physically weak since childhood—frequent diarrhea, allergies, and countless hospital visits. Once, during a hospital stay for hernia surgery, she was deeply moved by the care and patience of the nurses. From then on, she dreamed of growing up to become a “white-coat angel” herself—someone who could save and help others. With that pure and passionate intention, she chose nursing as her first priority and eventually devoted herself to working in the operating room — a career that has now spanned more than 20 years.
Work Stress Destroyed Her Health and Passion
Despite once having the stamina to run marathons and climb Taiwan’s highest peaks, her strong sense of responsibility and high self-expectations caused immense stress in the operating room. Her smile slowly disappeared. Constant pressure drained her energy to the point where even walking made her breathless.
She often woke up at 2 A.M., sitting blankly at the edge of her bed—unable to fall back asleep, overwhelmed by panic. When dawn finally came and sleepiness hit, it was time to get ready for work.
Day after day, this vicious cycle continued. Combined with her weak digestion and poor nutrient absorption, her complexion worsened. Her cheeks grew hollow. Friends and colleagues frequently asked, “What’s wrong? Are you sick?”
Her darkened complexion, sunken cheeks, and tense, expressionless face gradually eroded both her health and her passion for nursing. She forgot her childhood dream and the heartfelt intention she once had to help others.

Before practicing Qigong, Ying-Hsiu’s cheeks were sunken and her face was always tense. Even during outings, she had difficulty relaxing.
At Life’s Crossroads: Cancer and Depression
Sometimes, crisis becomes a turning point.
About eight years ago, ovarian cancer quietly found her. She underwent a long journey of treatment—her uterus and ovaries were removed, and with the loss of her reproductive ability, she felt incomplete. At the same time, her relationship suffered a major setback. Under these multiple blows, she completely shut herself off emotionally, refusing all forms of concern. Every caring word pierced her like a needle. Gradually, she began developing signs of depression.
Thankfully, her family never gave up on her and accompanied her through the darkness. She also met the “benefactors” of her life—those who introduced her to Bai Yan Fashion Qigong. Her cousin and uncle had practiced Bai Yin Qigong and encouraged her to try it. Coincidentally, in 2021, Bai Yin Qigong launched a public-benefit campaign offering free “HarmonyQi Stress Relief Technique” classes to hundreds of healthcare workers. Her uncle shared the news with her, and her cousin kept urging her to give herself a chance.
This opportunity led her to begin practicing Qigong—and to start a completely different chapter of life.
HarmonyQi Brought Miraculous Changes to Her Body and Mind
During class, Instructor Jing-Yuan told her to “practice with joy.”
Always tense, Ying-Hsiu began adjusting her mindset and learning to relax. Something magical happened.
From the moment of the opening of the guided practice music played, she started yawning. After being trapped in tension for so many years, she finally felt how wonderful true relaxation could be!
After practicing the HarmonyQi Stress Relief Technique for just over a month, she was shocked to discover—
she could finally sleep through the night.
She also had severe allergies since childhood. Every morning, she woke up sneezing with a blocked nose, using an entire pack of tissues. Sometimes, her allergies were so intense she needed emergency care. For years, medication could only suppress symptoms—not heal them.
Amazingly, Qigong improved them.
As her sleep and allergies improved, she no longer dragged her exhausted body to work every morning. Her smile slowly returned. Her complexion looked healthier day by day. Everyone noticed the change, and Ying-Hsiu joyfully shared how practicing Qigong transformed her life.
Master Bai Yin often says:
“When you refine Jing into Qi, the pork you eat becomes part of your body.”
In Ying-Hsiu’s case, this became true—
she began gaining healthy weight, almost 5 kg, along with a glowing complexion, as if she had been reborn.

After completing HarmonyQi, Ying-Hsiu’s face became fuller, she began smiling, and her complexion became bright and healthy.
“Better Short Than Broken” — Practicing Every Day, No Excuses
To ensure she practiced daily, Ying-Hsiu adopted the principle:
“Better short than broken.”
She woke up at 5:30 every morning—even if she only practiced 30 minutes or just 10 minutes. What mattered was consistency.
After work, even while walking down the street, she would comfortably perform “Palm Trembling” without caring about what others thought. On weekends, she used her free time to practice each section of the techniques thoroughly.
Rediscovering Her Original Calling—Sharing Positive Energy
Through Qigong, her world changed from black-and-white to vibrant color.
She regained her passion for life and her original intention to help others. She learned that one must first love oneself before having the capacity to love others. Seeing the instructor’s care and the love within her Qigong family touched her deeply.
Since March 2021, she has continuously studied HarmonyQi, EnerQi Dayan, YoungQi Rejuvenation, and the Sound Healing Therapy—attending every class offered.
She loves all the techniques, but HarmonyQi remains her favorite. It improved her sleep, reduced allergies, restored her passion, shifted her mindset toward positivity, and helped her let go of pessimism.
During our interview, we felt her bright energy and joy.
When asked why she is so proactive in sharing the beauty of Qigong, she said:
“If I had learned Qigong earlier, I could have helped my family earlier.
Maybe my father wouldn’t be bedridden now…”
Investing in health must be done early.
Ying-Hsiu actively encourages patients, colleagues, and friends at the hospital to learn Qigong. She also posts her daily practice log, sharing her progress and insights, hoping to give others confidence and courage to rise from their own low points.
“If I can do it, you can too!”
