Everyone knows the importance of health and pursues it, but health isn't just about thinking—it requires actual action and finding the right method. Upon entering the venue, she was immediately amazed by Master Yin Quan’s healthy complexion and smooth white skin, wondering how a man could have such good skin! After the book signing, she learned about the 'HarmonyQi Stress Relief Technique' classes, and without hesitation, immediately signed up for the course."

At Master Yin Quan's book signing on December 8, 2018, I was amazed by Master's good skin, and immediately signed up to learn the technique.

The insight from my father's stroke: To love someone, you must first take good care of yourself

Tai-Hua mentions that when she was studying in America, she faced not only academic pressure, but also cultural differences and environmental adaptation issues. However, none of these compared to the psychological torment and stress brought on by her father's stroke. Being in America at the time, she could only worry without being able to alleviate her father's pain or share the burden with her mother, who was the primary caregiver.

After learning qigong, she gained a deeper understanding of the true meaning of 'self-directed life' and how important health is. She realized that loving someone, whether family or friend, means giving them the best gift: taking good care of yourself.Physically weak and lacking qi since childhood, Tai-Hua didn't have any obvious illnesses but lacked sufficient energy in daily life. She tried many sports and wellness methods to improve her health, such as mainstream Western practices like 'yoga' and 'aerobic exercise.

'Twenty years ago, Tai-Hua suffered from tinnitus that didn't improve despite six months of medication. She began to seek Eastern exercise and wellness methods, and the idea of learning qigong was planted in her mind.

Practice Balances Body and Mind, Making Oneself Healthier

After learning the HarmonyQi Stress Relief Technique, Tai-Hua understood the principles behind the movements and gained better insight into how qigong improves the body through qi and blood circulation. This motivated her to practice diligently and continue learning the essential courses.

When she learned EnerQi Dayan Technique, her overall energy noticeably improved. YoungQi Rejuvenation Technique loosened her spine, and her previously tense and stiff joints gradually became more flexible. She truly experienced the wonderful benefits that qigong practice brought to her body.

Tai-Hua, a devoted Buddhist for many years, shares the same faith as Master Yin Quan. After she began practicing advanced qigong methods, Master Yin Quan often combined Buddhist principles with qigong mind-heart techniques in his teachings, constantly reminding Tai-Hua of these connections.

After learning the Turtle Longevity Technique, despite not yet mastering the movements, Tai-Hua began to clearly sense a dialogue with her body through the practice. She started looking inward. This internally-focused practice made her body warmer and her heart softer after practicing for some time. Through qigong, she could shift her mindset at any time, letting go of negative thoughts and releasing pressure rather than allowing them to accumulate in her heart and cause illness.

No More Qi Deficiency, Better Energy Than When Young

After practicing qigong, Tai-Hua significantly improved her qi deficiency constitution. Previously unable to walk long distances, she can now take nearly 20-hour long flights to New York to help her daughter move! Moving in America is not easy—it requires not only a clear mind to arrange all the details but also good physical strength. Especially during the pandemic, when outdoor shopping trips often meant walking instead of using public transportation. She couldn't imagine that she, who used to get tired after walking just a short distance, can now walk continuously for more than 3 hours without feeling tired, all while carrying packages big and small.

Practicing Qigong Liberates One from Fear

After learning qigong, she felt comfortable wearing her practice outfit and posing like a graceful crane for photos in front of the busy Washington Park, feeling completely at ease.
Tai-Hua said that at her age, she can still help her daughter move and doesn’t want her to worry about her. Being able to take good care of herself is what it means to live an autonomous life and show love for her family. That’s why, no matter how busy she is, she always makes time to practice the exercises.

Tai-Hua learned about the wonderful health practice of "Bai Yin Contemporary Qigong," a way to take control of one’s well-being, through a video shared by a friend. Now, she enthusiastically shares qigong information and encourages those around her to learn it.

She has also joined the volunteer team. For her, as someone who has practiced Buddhism for many years, this comes naturally—she has a compassionate heart that cannot bear to see others suffer. In addition to passionately introducing many people to qigong, she also hopes that through her service, she can help practitioners gain more confidence in their training.

Tai-Hua shared a quote from Master Bai Yin: Practicing qigong gives you confidence—the confidence to be free from fear. Since learning qigong, she no longer fears physical discomfort because she knows she can use her practice to alleviate and resolve it in time. It also gives her a sense of stability and direction.

This resonates deeply with Tai-Hua’s long-held belief: The best gift you can give someone you love is to take good care of yourself. To her, being able to practice qigong daily and take charge of her own well-being is truly a blessing.
