Day 3: Rooting – The Power of Stability

Dear Virtuous Technique (Da Cheng Gong) elite partners and every member of the Bai Yin family,
May peace and joy be with you.

Time flies, and we are already halfway through our “LotusQi Blessing Group Practice” journey. Today, we arrive at the powerful and grounding third day. After the hopeful sprouting on Day 1 and the cleansing of body and mind on Day 2, are you now sensing greater clarity and lightness within? Today, we will explore a crucial theme: “Rooting – The Power of Stability.” This strength forms the foundation for our tree of life to grow strong and fearless, unshaken by stormy winds.

We’ve all admired the beauty and purity of the lotus, gracefully standing above the water, remaining elegant no matter the breeze or rain. But often overlooked is the lotus’s deep root system, silently embedded in the mud beneath the surface. These strong, tenacious roots stretch deeply into the earth, drawing endless nutrients and energy from Mother Earth’s embrace. This unwavering foundation is what enables the lotus to bloom brilliantly, unaffected by external forces.

In the “Three Core Lotus” phase of the LotusQi Heart-Nourishing Technique, especially during the “Middle Core,” the mantra guides us to “let the eyes follow the hand,” and “step to the left, lift the qi upward.” These simple movements embody the profound wisdom of “rooting into the earth and stabilizing the center.” With guided intent, we gently sink our energy downward, visualizing our feet like lotus roots, firmly planted in the earth. We establish a deep connection with Mother Earth’s generous, boundless energy. At the same time, we gather this grounding energy along with the clear qi from the universe into the center of our body—the Middle Palace (middle dantian). This creates a firm energetic core from which our life force can grow upward, just as the lotus can only rise and bloom through a solid root system.

Rooting is far more than physical grounding or balance. It is also about cultivating mental resilience, confidence, and steadiness. When our roots are deep and wide, we can face the turbulence and challenges of life with inner calm. We won’t be easily swayed by external noise or temporary gains and losses. When our center—the Middle Palace—is steady and abundant, we can hold to our direction, values, and beliefs no matter how the world changes. This grounded, secure feeling and the constant inner strength that arises from it become the foundation upon which we face the unknown, fulfill our life’s mission, and fully blossom.

Today’s practice invites us to fully experience every “press and sink” movement—feel your feet anchoring into the ground like the roots of an ancient tree. Sense the warmth, support, and nourishment rising from the earth. Notice how each deep breath settles into your dantian, bringing a sense of grounding and fulfillment. Through consistent practice, we strengthen our inner foundation, allowing our roots to reach deeper and become more stable—just like the lotus. This, in turn, fuels our upward growth, allowing our life to bloom brilliantly and beautifully. Let’s cultivate unshakable focus, courage in the face of change, and the vast, embracing strength of the earth.

Begin today’s LotusQi Heart-Nourishing Technique with a heart that seeks inner stability and strength. Become a lotus of life—deeply rooted, lush, and fearless in the wind and rain.

The Power of Collective Blessing: Why and How We Bless

Blessing is the act of transforming personal goodwill into a collective force of positive energy. When we align our intentions as a group, it amplifies our heartfelt wishes into a powerful field of resonance.

Today’s line from the Lotus Blessing Affirmation is:
“Now, let us gather our warm intentions and transform them into a supportive force.”

Why this blessing?
This sentence emphasizes action and transformation. Merely having a wish is not enough—we must actively channel those wishes into “warm intentions,” filled with love, compassion, and kindness. When combined, these intentions evolve from scattered, faint hopes into a tangible and powerful supportive energy. This force not only uplifts us but also brings courage, comfort, and hope to those we are blessing.

How to bless emotional and interpersonal relationships:
Today’s focus is on “emotions and relationships.” As you recite the blessing, guide your thoughts in this way:

  • Feel your inner warmth:
Connect to your softest, warmest emotions. Recall moments when you felt loved and supported, and let that warmth expand from within.
  • Gather intentions:
Visualize all group members channeling this warmth like beams of light converging into a large, radiant sphere of energy.
  • Give form to your heartfelt wishes:
Some may be hoping to meet a loving, lifelong partner; others may wish to heal misunderstandings with friends or coworkers and restore trust; still others may hope to build deeper, more harmonious family connections. Gently place these wishes into the glowing energy sphere.
  • Transform into a supportive force:
May this collective sphere of warmth become a powerful, supportive force, gently wrapping around all our relationship-related hopes. May it dissolve icy walls, heal wounds, deepen understanding, and foster connection. May we, like the lotus, be free and genuine in our relationships—mutually respectful and open-hearted—clearing away all misunderstanding and distance. Let love and trust take root deeply in our hearts, nurturing lasting bonds.
