Day 1: Sprouting — Seeds of Hope
Dear Virtuous Technique (Da Cheng Gong) elite partners and beloved family members,
May peace and blessings be with you.
After the profound inspiration and energy overflow from the Virtuous Technique course, our hearts are once again warmly united through the “LotusQi Blessing Seven-Day Group Practice.” This is not only a continuous refinement of our Qigong cultivation path, but also a precious moment when we transform our inner light and love into action—offering blessings to ourselves, to others, and to the world. These seven days are a spiritual journey, and a promise of love.
Let us begin by quietly recalling the powerful imagery from the “LotusQi Heart-Nourishing Technique”: a lotus seed hidden deep in the soft mud at the bottom of a pond. It lies there silently, wrapped in seemingly murky darkness and serene stillness, yet it holds infinite potential—quiet yet full of latent energy. It carries the most primal, purest life force, like the chaos of the universe before creation, patiently waiting for the right conditions, the first ray of light, and the moment to sprout and rise toward the sun. This hidden force mirrors the purest yearning and infinite potential that lies deep in each of our hearts—the longing for truth, goodness, and beauty.
Today is Day 1 of our LotusQi Blessing practice, themed “Sprouting — Seeds of Hope.” This theme is brimming with vitality and anticipation. Just like the lotus seed, before any upward movement begins, there must be a phase of “grounding and settling.” This isn’t just a physical adjustment—it’s a mental one. We calm our thoughts and gently let our scattered energy settle, grounding ourselves like lotus seeds connecting deeply to Mother Earth. This stillness is not stagnation; it is the preparation for a powerful, sustained upward surge. We learn from the lotus: in a chaotic world, we must first find stillness within, just like the seed in the mud—uncontaminated, focused, and quietly gathering the force to break through and bloom.
In this hopeful seven-day journey, we will sincerely plant seeds of kindness and hope—for ourselves, for our beloved families, and for a world that longs for more love. These seeds might represent a wish for health—may our bodies be vibrant and free from illness, with every cell alive and well; or harmony in the family—may laughter, understanding, and support flow among family members, making home a warm harbor; or personal growth—may we gain wisdom, emotional maturity, and resilience to face life’s challenges. Every seed we plant carries our deepest intentions. Through our joint cultivation and collective blessings over these seven days, these seeds will be nourished by the universe and love.
Before we begin today’s “LotusQi Heart-Nourishing Technique” practice, I invite you to gently close your eyes and take a few long, deep breaths. Inhale pure energy from the universe into your body. Exhale and release fatigue and wandering thoughts. Feel the emerging life force within you—like a lotus seed about to sprout—eager, vibrant, and full of promise. Feel your yearning for a beautiful future. This pure intention is our most precious driving force in practice. With this intention and hope, let our hearts connect, let our energies resonate, and step into today’s session together. Let us water these seeds of hope with our focus, love, and blessings, so that they may root, sprout, and blossom into radiant lotus flowers in our lives and in the world around us.
A Deeper Insight into “LotusQi Sprouting” — The Courage and Purity of Breaking Through
The first movement in the “LotusQi Heart-Nourishing Technique,” Nine Cycle Lotus: LotusQi Blossom, vividly illustrates the lotus seed’s breakthrough from mud to light.
“Step left, palms facing upward”—this mirrors a tender sprout cautiously exploring the world, full of curiosity and wonder.
“Step left, palms together downward, then turning upward to open”—this action, full of strength and resolve, symbolizes the lotus pushing through resistance and breaking the water’s surface, meeting the sunlight for the first time. This longing for light is the seed’s greatest internal motivation.
Then, “Both hands slowly descend”—like the newborn lotus leaf gently spreading over the water’s surface, beginning its new chapter of life.
The mantra guides us: “Imagine yourself as a freshly blossomed lotus—rising unstained from the mud. Experience the purity in your heart.” This is not just visualization—it is a practice of inner stillness. In each session, we aim to experience the pure, original clarity of life, like morning dew—crystal clear and untouched by dust. Even though we live in a complex world and face challenges, this inner purity remains, like a lotus, always present. Our practice helps awaken and nourish this purity.
The Power of Collective Blessing: Why and How Do We Pray?
In today’s group practice, collective prayer is a key component.
Why do we pray?
Because prayer transforms kind intentions into positive energy fields, amplified by collective focus. Science increasingly supports that human thoughts carry energy. When many people focus on the same loving intention, its resonant power becomes immense.
Today, we will recite the LotusQi Blessing Prayer, starting with:
“Dear friends, in this moment, our hearts are united. Kindness connects us, like a blooming lotus.”
Why begin this way?
This line builds connection. It reminds us that though we are scattered geographically, our hearts unite in this moment of practice through shared kindness—whether for health, family, or world peace. Like a lotus with many petals forming one beautiful flower, each of our thoughts is a petal contributing to this powerful collective bloom.
How to Pray for the “Body”
Today’s focus is on blessing the body. When reciting the prayer, guide your awareness as follows:
- Focus on the Body:
Gently bring your attention to your body. Feel it fully—whether it’s comfortable or aching—accept it with compassion. - Connect with Kind Intentions:
Awaken your desire for health and healing. This sincere wish is the purest kindness. - Visualize the LotusQi:
Picture your own heart and the hearts of fellow practitioners blooming into radiant lotus flowers—pure and vibrant. See their light merging into a vast sea of peaceful energy. - Send Blessings to the Body:
In this lotus sea, send your warmest blessings to your body. Visualize light enveloping areas of discomfort. Imagine cells revitalizing, energy pathways unblocked.
Recall the specific wishes written on the prayer forms: a shoulder that longs to be free from stiffness, a wish for energy to care for children or elders, or a quiet hope for some discomfort to ease so one can move freely and lightly again. Let all these sincere wishes merge into this collective field of blessings.
Practical Guidance: Bringing the Spirit of the LotusQi into Daily Life
The theme of “Sprouting — Seeds of Hope” is more than a concept—it’s a way of life. How can we live this out daily?
- Sow Tiny Seeds of Kindness:
Do one small act of kindness each day. A smile, a thank you, a helping hand—all plant hope in the world. - Recognize and Nourish Inner Desires:
Pause and ask yourself: What do I truly long for? Health? Harmony? Self-realization? Find it and nurture it daily, like watering a lotus seed. - Practice the Wisdom of “Grounding and Settling”:
When faced with stress, remember the lotus seed’s wisdom—settle before rising. Breathe deeply, find your inner anchor, and then act. - Be an Introducer in Someone’s Life:
Share the joy and benefits of your practice. Maybe your family or friends need this guidance. Be brave—be a coach for a day. Teach the gentle and effective Magical Palm Trembling. Help others discover the magic of Qi. This, too, is planting seeds of wellness. - Support Public Wellness Promotion:
Bai Yin Contemporary Qigong will focus more on public service in the future. The Amazing FlowQi Neuro campaign “Flow to Stay Sharp” is a great starting point. Support and participate in these programs to help more people, spreading seeds of hope far and wide.
