Feng Ying’s interview started with a big, hearty laugh — the kind that instantly makes you smile. She’s super motivated and managed to finish the six Qigong courses in just over a year. Feng Ying believes that if you keep saying “I’ll wait a bit longer,” it’s easy to lose your motivation. Her advice? Don’t wait. If you want to learn Qigong, go for it. The most important thing is to invest in yourself.
Let’s take a look at how this primary school teacher made time to grow and take care of herself.
Others become doctors after a long illness; she became the healing itself
Feng Ying works as a primary school teacher — a role that requires both mental focus and physical endurance. Some days, she teaches for five to six hours straight with little time to rest — a routine that’s physically demanding. Maintaining her health and strength is essential to meet the daily challenges of her profession.
After years of hard work, Feng Ying began experiencing minor health issues like sore and numb hands, trigger finger, neck and shoulder pain, varicose veins, poor sleep, and low energy. She tried various treatments, but it wasn’t until she discovered Qigong that she finally saw a significant improvement in her well-being.
Feng Ying had undergone heart surgery, and while her heart condition had improved, she still experienced widespread discomfort without a clear cause. Looking back, the worst part was that she couldn’t lift her left hand, and even brushing her teeth was a challenge. Her arms and legs were always sore and numb, and she often couldn’t sleep because of the pain. Medication and injections became a regular part of her routine. Feng Ying shared that while some individuals become skilled ‘doctors’ after enduring long-term illness, she, after years of suffering, became someone who depends on medicine.
Feng Ying often reflects on the remarkable journey that led her to practice Qigong. She recalled first seeing Master Bai Yin on TV when she was young and felt inspired to learn Qigong. However, her child was still young and with limited technology at the time, she couldn’t leave home to learn Qigong. As a result, she had to endure the pain and rely on medication and injections to manage her condition.
More than ten years later, Feng Ying happened to notice that a senior sister looking really healthy and happy. Curious, she asked the senior sister how did she stayed in such good shape, and the reply was because she practiced Qigong. She added,
“you need to have a teacher to learn Qigong. Just look at how great Master looks — it shows how well Qigong works!”
Her words struck a chord with Feng Ying. Upon returning home, she delved into her research and uncovered that the senior sister practiced Bai Yin Qigong — the very same Qigong she had longed to learn all those years ago. Without hesitation, she enrolled in the course that evening.
Energetic and Vibrant: The Secret Behind Her Newfound Spirit
With her long and busy work hours, Feng Ying tried various exercises like yoga, brisk walking, Tai Chi, and gym workouts to stay healthy. But time constraints and unpredictable weather always made it difficult to stick with any of them. Eventually, she realised she needed an exercise that was flexible enough to do anytime, in any weather, and one she could continue as she got older. That’s when she discovered Bai Yin Qigong — a practice she could easily do at home.
Feng Ying, who once rarely engaged in leisure activities, now finds her greatest pleasure in practicing Qigong. With a smile, she reflected,
“I used to be a pale, exhausted woman with little energy. But since I began practicing Qigong, my life has been completely transformed.”
Colleagues observed that Feng Ying not only appeared healthier but also exhibited a noticeable increase in energy and vitality. They were curious and queried about what she had been doing. Feng Ying simply said,
“It’s just practicing Qigong.
”Feng Ying feels there’s a big difference when you have a teacher guiding you in Qigong. Bai Yin Qigong has music, and the moves are easy to follow and not complicated. The best part is that it really works! Master said it would take about 100 days to build a strong foundation, but in Feng Ying’s case, it took less time — she no longer needed anti-inflammatory medication for her hands.
As someone who spends long hours standing at work and often deals with back pain, she noticed her leg strength significantly improved, the pain lessened, and better sleep after learning the YoungQi Rejuvenation Technique. Even though the exercises were a little challenging at first, Master’s guidance made the practice feel revitalising, uplifting, and peaceful.

Harnessing Calm and Positive Energy Through Qigong
Feng Ying believes the most profound change she has experienced through practicing Qigong is the transformation in her mindset. Where she once struggled with negative thoughts in challenging situations, she now finds it easier to shift her perspective — especially when facing with physical discomfort. This newfound ability to cultivate positive thinking has been empowering. Over time, she’s also noticed a noticeable improvement in the energy around her, feeling that her aura has grown stronger and more harmonious.
Feng Ying previously worked as a counsellor, supporting children with behavioural challenges. After each session, she would feel totally drained and full of negative energy. However, after learning and practicing Qigong, she discovered that the exercises had a powerful calming effect on her mind. She especially noticed a difference when she did the LotusQi Technique before her sessions. It allowed her to connect more deeply with their thoughts and emotions, creating a stronger sense of understanding and closeness.
Feng Ying spoke from the heart, saying that good health is like a green mountain — quietly strong, often unnoticed, and easy to take for granted. But when we neglect it, it slowly wears down, just like a mountain losing its trees. She gently reminds others to care for their bodies while they’re still well, before illness or pain becomes a wake-up call. “I hope you don’t have to go through what I did,” she said, “the surgeries, the medicine, the long recovery… only to realise too late how precious health truly is.”Feng Ying, who completed the six-courses Qigong system in just over a year, speaks from the heart when she encourages others to begin their Qigong journey.
Stop overthinking and hesitating as it’s easy to lose motivation. If you're worried about spending money on your health, shift your mindset — think of it as an investment, like taking a trip to Europe. This Qigong journey will give you something even more valuable: your well-being. Health is everything. Without it, you can’t enjoy any of life’s pleasures. Don’t wait. Start now. Your future self will thank you.
