The first time you meet Senior Practitioner Ruomei, it is almost impossible to believe she is over 50. Her fair, smooth complexion and vibrant energy often prompt the same reaction: “You look so young!”
Her youthful appearance, she believes, is closely connected to her practice of YoungQi Rejuvenation.
A Surprising Beginning
Ruomei’s journey into Bai Yin Qigong did not begin because of a health concern. It grew out of curiosity.
As a Chinese literature teacher at Hsinchu Senior High School, she came across a saying that stayed with her:
“Where qi flows, blood flows. When qi and blood circulate freely, the body is better able to maintain health.”
Those words inspired her to learn more. Shortly afterward, a colleague recommended YoungQi Rejuvenation through Bai Yin Qigong. Looking back, she regards it as a fortunate turning point.

What Changed
After beginning YoungQi Rejuvenation, Ruomei noticed something unexpected: she started developing acne. Having never experienced pimples even during her teenage years, this came as a surprise. She understood it as part of her body’s natural adjustment process and continued practising with confidence.
Over time, the changes became more visible:
- Her skin became smoother and more delicate.
- Although years of swimming had left her complexion deeply tanned, it gradually became fairer, developing a natural radiance.
- Colleagues at school frequently mistook her for a young mother. Some even wondered whether she had married unusually early, as her children were already grown but she still looked remarkably youthful.
For Ruomei, YoungQi Rejuvenation became more than a qigong practice. It became a way of embracing each new stage of life with confidence. Turning 50 was no longer something to fear. It was the beginning of a new chapter.

Addressing Long-Standing Physical Discomfort
Years of marking students’ essays had taken a toll. Ruomei developed spinal misalignment and sciatica, common conditions among teachers who spend long hours in a fixed posture.
Through continued qigong practice, she found that these long-standing discomforts gradually improved.
Continuing to Learn
After completing YoungQi Rejuvenation, Ruomei went on to complete both the EnerQi and Advanced programmes. Among all the practices she has learned, her favourite is LotusQi.
She attends every review course she can, consistently finding fresh insights through repeated practice. Whether it is EnerQi or the Sound Healing Technique, she rarely misses an opportunity to learn.
Serving the Community
In 2014, Ruomei joined the Bai Yin volunteer team and has gladly participated whenever opportunities to serve have arisen. She has also introduced many friends and colleagues to Bai Yin Qigong, and many have shared positive improvements in their health and well-being through regular practice.
She recalls one senior practitioner who experienced persistent skin rashes for about a year after beginning qigong. From her perspective, this was part of the body’s natural adjustment process during practice.
An Investment in Lifelong Health
Ruomei acknowledges that some people may feel the course fees are a significant investment. Her view, however, is straightforward: the longer she continues learning and practising, the greater the long-term value she gains.
To her, learning Bai Yin Qigong is an investment in lifelong health. One whose value cannot be measured.
