Bai Yin Qigong Lecture Hall – Highlights from Group Practice, September 13, 2025 (Saturday)

Dear students, greetings! I am Master Bai Yin. Welcome back to the Bai Yin Lecture Hall.

Today, I’d like to share with you the essence of our recent group practice on September 13. In Chinese tradition, we often refer to the Lunar Calendar to guide important decisions in life. This reflects the ancient wisdom of living in harmony with Heaven and in rhythm with the seasons.

While the calendar may occasionally mark a day as “inauspicious” for external matters, this should not discourage us. Instead, it reminds us to turn inward — to refine body and mind through Qigong, accumulating our own positive Qi and inner strength.

The Wisdom of “Harmony Between Heaven and Humanity”

One of the core principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is the resonance between humans and the cosmos.

The Lunar Calendar’s guidance is a reflection of nature’s patterns. But more importantly, the essence of health lies in:

👉 “When righteous Qi is abundant within, no external evil can invade.”

When our Qi is strong, blood flows smoothly, and the organs function harmoniously, we naturally adapt to seasonal changes and reduce the impact of unfavorable conditions.

Mid-Autumn Health Focus: Strengthening the Spleen & Stomach

As we move deeper into autumn and approach the Autumn Equinox, Yang energy begins to recede while Yin energy grows.

During this period, nourishing the Spleen and Stomach becomes especially important.

  • The Spleen & Stomach are the “root of postnatal life” and the source of Qi and blood.
  • When they function well, food and drink are transformed into the essential energy that nourishes the whole body.
  • This prepares us for the colder months ahead.

Qigong Practice: The Best Path to Align with Nature

Our Qigong methods are the most effective way to strengthen the inner body and harmonize with the seasons.

🔹 YoungQi Anti-Aging & Rejuvenation Technique

Autumn is the ideal time to:

  • Restore essence and nourish the brain
  • Strengthen the foundation and replenish vitality

Through practice:

  • Detoxification Technique: clears away dampness or dryness-related heat.
  • Qi Cultivation: draws in the pure and refreshing Qi of autumn mornings, replenishing Lung Qi and nourishing Kidney Water, creating the mutual balance of Metal (Lung) and Water (Kidney).
  • A strong Spleen & Stomach provide the material foundation for essence restoration.

🔹 EnerQi Dayan Five Elements Technique

In the Five Elements, autumn corresponds to Metal (Lungs). At the same time, Earth (Spleen & Stomach) generates Metal (Lungs).

Key practices:

  • Monkey Form: strengthens the Spleen & Stomach, improving digestion and transformation of nutrients, which in turn nourishes the Lungs.
  • Tiger Form: directly regulates Lung Qi, enhancing its descending and dispersing functions, countering autumn dryness, and supporting respiratory health.

The full EnerQi Dayan sequence also ensures smooth Qi and blood circulation, helping nutrients flow throughout the body.

Key Practice Points for Mid-Autumn Group Sessions

Whether you practice the YoungQi Anti-Aging Rejuvenation Technique or the EnerQi Dayan Five Elements Technique, keep these points in mind:

📌 Harmonize the Spleen & Stomach: Feel warmth in the abdomen and smooth Qi flow. Visualize strong digestion and absorption.
📌 Steady Breathing: Deep, calm, and even breath to gather and settle Qi, calming the mind.
📌 Focus Inward: Cultivate tranquility and inner stability, regardless of external influences.
📌 Peaceful State of Mind: Nurture serenity and resilience — remain steady amidst change.

Wellness Summary

External signs of “fortune or misfortune” are only references. True health and peace arise from our inner cultivation.

Through consistent daily Qigong practice, we accumulate blessings, strengthen our vitality, and create harmony.

🌿 Remember:

  • Autumn is about gathering, not dispersing.
  • Practice gently, aiming for smooth Qi and a calm spirit — not excessive sweating.
  • Persistence is the best way to nourish yourself in autumn.
